About the Programme
Physiotherapy, or physical therapy, is the practice of using exercise and movement, either coached or mechanically assisted, to facilitate recovery from illness or injury. It also encompasses examination and diagnosis to determine what therapy is necessary, and the research and development of new methods of physical rehabilitation. A bachelor’s degree program in physiotherapy usually involves the study of the sciences behind practices, such as anatomy, psychology and physics, as well as medical courses more specific to the field. There is also a hands-on component involving observation and assistance in certified medical facilities.
