Diya Club, CSR Programme, CUTM, Parlakhemundi

Today is an era of modern democracy based on cooperation and participation, the ancient though of charity, the old values regarding assistance to others and thought thinking of social welfare are rarely observed to others and traditional thinking of social welfare are rarely observed. So, it seems genuine and important that voluntary activities must be coupled and performed on institutional level.

In this context, Diya Club, a Responsibility act under CSR programme in Centurion University of Technology and Management, Parlakhemundi,  being  managed by our students  and guided by faculty coordinator, Mr. Sambeet Patro,  Department of Computer Science and Engg., have came up with clear motivation of doing something's for the poor and needy people.
Objective of the club

To help poor, illiterate, orphans, physically and mentally handicapped, socially and economically backward people and children.

Events Under the Club

  1. Visit to orphanages, hospitals, and some backward village to identify the problem; help them as much as possible.
  2. Meeting people, childrens, orphans etc , share some moments to understand their problems and give mental support.
  3. Conduct educational camp to school drop outs of a village and orphanage residents.
  4. Organize social awareness programme against Dowry System, addiction with drugs, tobacco, alcohol etc and similar activity in the village.
