Department of
Forensic Sciences under School of Paramedics and Allied Health Sciences of Centurion University of Technology
and Management aims at creating much required experts in the field of investigative science with the application
of advanced scientific techniques. The aim of the course is to develop a platform wherein various scientific
means and methods are applied so that social justice can be brought about within our 
society. It is not a hidden fact that the number of criminal cases over the world is
on the rise and in most of these cases justice gets delayed due to lack of proper forensic proofs. One of the
major causes is the shortage of an adequate number of forensic experts. Department of Forensic Science is the
one and only of its kind in Southern Andhra Pradesh, India to create young, dynamic, technically efficient
experts in the field of investigative science. The Department has entered into an academic collaboration with
various Forensic Organizations all over India dedicated to forensic science to provide quality education and
infrastructure to its students with significant responsibility.

Course overview

In our country the crime rate is increasing day by day. In the majority of serious
crime cases, high tech measures are being adopted by perpetrators of crime. The counter measures have to be more
sophisticated to surpass them. In this course, students are going to learn the core investigating skills in
crime detection including crime exhibits handling, preservation and forwarding, maintain the critical
information through chain of custody, Identifying the important evidence through principles of forensic science,
ethics towards society and to handle the different types of crime scenes. Thereby, they can be attaining the
knowledge of crime scene investigations.
