DEPARTMENT OF RADIOLOGY

  • The Department of Radiology, School of Paramedics & Allied Health Sciences, CUTM AP  is the premier educational institution of its kind in south India for producing youthful, energetic, technically skilled professionals in radiological diagnosis, started B.Sc. Radiology and Imaging Technology Course in the year 2017-18 AY.

Duration of Course – 3 years / 6 semesters

  • In the 6th Semester, students undergo Internship training at recognized, well established and equipped Hospitals / Diagnostic centers to undergo intensive training and to attain good hands on skill to excel in their career.
  • Along with the practical training in the laboratories at University campus, the students are getting extra exposure to real time practice in the hospitals and diagnostic center’s three days a week equally with the theoretical training.
  • Students are highly motivated and confident enough to work effectively and efficiently on all the types of modalities like – X Ray machine, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, CT, MRI, PET Scan etc.

  • One day work shop on “First Hand Rescue” by Mrs. P Avanthi on 18-02-2021.
  • Live Webinar on “Role of CT scan in the COVID 19 pandemic” by Dr. L S Sunil Avagadda, Consultant radiologist Q1 Hospital, Visakhapatnam on 02-05-2021.
  • A Seminar on “ Ultra sound in obstetrics” by Dr. M Raja Sekhar, Assistant professor of Radiology, MIMS Medical College, Vizianagaram on 29-04-2022
  • A Seminar on “ Applications of Radio Isotopes in Medical, Agriculture and Industry” by Dr. P V Lakshmi Narayana, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Nuclear Physics, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on 22-10-2022.
