WORKSHOP ON JAVA FOR MODERN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
The Advanced Java Basics workshop covers essential modern Java features. It introduces Generics for type-safe programming, Lambda Expressions for functional-style coding, and the Stream API for efficient data processing. Additionally, it explores Annotations for metadata-driven programming and Reflection for runtime class inspection. The session concludes with Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) to connect Java applications with databases.
The Multithreading and Concurrency module provides a deep dive into Java's threading model. It covers Thread creation and management, ensuring efficient execution. Synchronization techniques help prevent race conditions, while Concurrency Utilities streamline multi-threaded programming. The module also introduces Thread Pooling, improving resource management in high-performance applications.

Guest Lecture Series - 2 at Centurion University of Technology and Management, Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh. National Pharmacy Education Day
National Pharmacy Education Day was celebrated on March 6, 2025, in remembrance of Professor Mahadeva Lal Schroff, the father of National Pharmacy Education. The event was held at Centurion University, with Dr. Prashanth Kumar Mohanthy, the Vice Chancellor, as the chief guest. During his speech, Dr. Mohanthy shared inspiring words, offered blessings to the students, and highlighted various career opportunities in the pharmacy field. The event was attended by several key members, including Dr. Pallavi, the Registrar, faculty members, and students. As part of the celebrations, rangoli and debate competitions were organized, providing students with the opportunity to showcase their creativity and intellectual abilities.
The event was organized by Mr. Gowri Sankar Chintapalli, the Head of Pharmacy at Centurion University, and served as a tribute to Professor Mahadeva Lal Schorf’s contributions to pharmacy education, while also engaging students in meaningful activities.

Hands-on Workshop on “Computational Drug Discovery and Molecular Docking Using Biovia Discovery Studio” 6th and 7th February, 2025
The Two-Day Hands-on Workshop on Computational Drug Discovery and Molecular Docking was highly successful, with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty. The interactive and project-based learning approach allowed participants to gain practical skills and confidence in applying computational drug discovery techniques to their academic and research projects.
Participants expressed keen interest in continuing research in drug discovery and requested advanced workshops on similar topics. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Polaki Suman, who acknowledged the resource person, faculty members, and participants for their active involvement and contribution to the success of the event.
The workshop was a great initiative in bridging the gap between computational biology and real-world research, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among Engineering, Pharmacy, and Forensic Science students and faculty.

Road safety Awareness
An awareness session on road safety was conducted for the students of Centurion University AP by Mr. D. Mani Kumar, Deputy Transport Commissioner, and Mr. K. Ravi Shankar, Motor Vehicle Inspector. The session focused on reducing accidents and fatalities on the roads, educating students about safe driving practices, pedestrian safety, and appropriate behavior in various traffic situations. Worship songs to honor and glorify God, creating a spirit of unity and devotion.A highlight of the celebration is the cake-cutting ceremony by Vice Chancellor sir and his daughter , symbolizing the sweetness of love and togetherness during this special time. As part of our CSaR initiative and our ongoing efforts to educate students on the dangers of drug abuse, we had the privilege of inviting Sri SVVN Babji Rao Garu, Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise for VZM and PVP districts, and Sri Srinadhudu, District Prohibition & Superintendent, to address our students. The Hands-on Workshop on Bioinformatics Tools and its Application in Bioscience was held from December 12-24, 2024, at Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM-AP), organized by the Department of Computer Science and Bioscience, SoET, CUTM-AP. The workshop, led by Dr. Polaki Suman, provided an in-depth understanding of bioinformatics concepts and practical training on various computational tools. Around 40 students from Computer Science and Biosciences (CSBS), B.Sc Agriculture, and B.Pharmacy actively participated. The sessions covered six core units of bioinformatics, ten sub-categories, and 61 topics, including genome and protein structure analysis, sequence alignment, databases, mining tools, predictive tools, and cheminformatics for drug design. Participants gained hands-on experience with 20 online and offline bioinformatics tools, enhancing their ability to analyze biological data. The workshop successfully bridged the gap between biology and computational sciences, equipping students with essential bioinformatics skills for research and career opportunities in biotechnology and healthcare.

The project bridged theoretical knowledge with practical applications, equipping participants with valuable skills for future research in areas such as drug design, protein-protein interactions, and understanding biological functions. These foundational skills will serve as a strong base for advancing in computational biology and related fields.
BIZFEST 2.O 26th and 27th Oct/2024
The School of Management at Centurion University of Technology and Management, Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh, organized BIZFEST 2.O on the 25th and 26th of October 2024. Students from various colleges attended this event. This two-day event aimed to unite business minds and promote entrepreneurial and managerial skills among students. On Day 1, participants showcased their creativity in a series of engaging activities. The Business Plan event encouraged students to present innovative business ideas, while Ad-Mad challenged teams to create a fun, The day concluded with a competitive Business Quiz, where teams faced off in multiple rounds until one emerged victorious. Day 2, focused on teamwork, problem-solving, and cultural celebration. Teams participated in a Teamwork and Time Management exercise. The Treasure Hunt had teams racing to solve tricky clues and locate hidden hints, sharpening their problem-solving skills. The day also featured Culturals, an entertaining mix of dance, singing, Scene recreation and a surprise flash mob, where everyone joined in the fun. Finally, a prize distribution ceremony awarded certificates to all participants by our Honourable Vice Chancellor Sir, with special certificates and cash prizes for the winners. The program succeeded in creating a platform for students to develop key business skills, foster interpersonal relationships, and celebrate a shared passion for management. BIZFEST 2.O brought together aspiring business professionals in a vibrant environment, blending learning with fun and competition.

World anaesthesia day is celebrated every year by School of Allied Health Sciences [ BSc. anaesthesia] in Centurion University, Andhra Pradesh with great enthusiasm in order to remember the great discovery of ether on 16th October 1846. This year we celebrated this occasion on 22nd October 2024.
The students of BSc anaesthesia under the guidance of Dr. C.V.K.K. Chaitnya [ I/C HoD of anaesthesia and faculty conducted this event. Honourable Vice Chancellor Dr. P. K Mohanty Sir was the Chief Patron for the event and Dr Chandrasekhar, Anaesthetist Sai PVR Hospital was the Chief Guest. Internations mens day celebrations
The celebration was marked by a variety of activities and competitions designed to showcase the versatility and talents of men. Faculty members participated in engaging sports events like cricket, which fostered teamwork and camaraderie. Additionally, competitions such as cooking, tug of war, plank, arm wrestling, essay writing, and painting provided a platform for participants to display their diverse skills, truly proving that men are all-rounders.

FORENSIC FINDS-2K24_Bridging Science & Justice 11th to 13th September, 2024
On the occasion of National Forensic Science Week, we have successfully organized 2nd National Forensic Finds – 2K24 with a theme of Bridging Science & Justice on 11th to 13th September, 2024. It includes various activities to raise awareness of the Forensic Science Guest lecture by Ms. PBS Sai Pavitra, Assist. Legal Aid Defense Counsel, District Court, Vizianagaram followed by a series of events like Quiz competitions, Public Speaking Competition, Debate, Creative writing, Treasure hunt and Word Games. 95 members have participated in the event.
Workshop on Handling Microscopes
Microscopes play a crucial role in forensic science, aiding investigators in various ways. It allows detailed examination of trace evidence recovered from crime scenes like hairs, fibers, or particulates, to reveal crucial details. Our lab takes pride in being equipped with various microscopes which are used for the mentioned purposes. Students will be exposed to the handling of these microscopes and get hands-on experience. Kargil Vijay Diwas
Kargil Vijay Diwa is celebrated on July 26 th each year in honor of the soldiers who fought in the Kargil war to observe India's victory over Pakistan in 1999.
In order to tribute our Indian soldiers, CSaR with NSS and NCC celebrated this visionary day by conducting Poster Making, Painting & Essay Writing competitions with a theme of KARGIL DIVAS, post the competitions former Army serviceman and present security officer of university Mr Laxmi Dasu was felicitated as a recognition to his service to the country by Honourable Vice Chancellor, Registrar madam. Winners of the competition were given the prizes, a total of 120 students have participated in the event.
World Environment Day
Tree planting is recognised as one of the most engaging, environmentally-friendly activities that
People can participate in helping the planet when done properly. On the eve of World Environment
Day, Centurion University, Andhra Pradesh has organized a plantation drive to keep the campus
more lively and greenery. Vice Chancellor, Dean SoPAHS, SoET and Deputy Registrar has taken
part in the drive along with the CSaR team. A total of 20 samplings were planted in the campus.
Following the plantation, Vice chancellor addressed the team to promote the growth of local and
regional trees which can keep the ecosystem lively for all the organisms.

The Interactive Meet on Molecular Intricacies of Plant Associated Microorganisms (MIPAM - 2024) was jointly organized by Central Tribal University, Andhra Pradesh, and Centurion School of Smart Agriculture, Centurion University, Andhra Pradesh. The event took place from 18th to 20th March 2024 to delve into the complex interactions between plants and microorganisms, covering aspects of symbiotic, pathogenic, and commensal relationships. The Chief Guest, Dr. Ramesh V. Sonti, Director of the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, New Delhi, delivered the keynote address on "Plants Associated with Microorganisms." National Conference on Forensic Finds-2K23 focuses on different aspects of forensic science that helps to acquire the knowledge about the recent advances and developments in the field. The experts were covered the topics of “Investigation of Sexual Assault and POCSO cases” and explained the importance of biological fluids in sexual assault cases. Importance and role of Anthropological evidence in criminal investigations and examination of injuries by anthropological evidence. “Forensic Science in Criminal Justice System: Past, Present and Future” and explained the current opportunities in the justice system as a forensic expert, some famous case studies where forensic science helped the judiciary system, and explained close working of forensic science and judiciary can lead to a better society. “Forensic Science Investigation Challenges in the Protection of Organized Corporate Crime: Uncovering Misconduct” and explained the internship opportunities for our student's benefit. He also explained the types of online crimes where people unknowingly fall into the trap of the culprits. “Live Memory Forensics” and explained about various types of fake websites, bit locker, tap view, Process Explorer and Process monster for exploring the deleted browsing history, how to escape from the trap of hackers. Along with the lecture various events has been taken place to encourage the students. Paper presentation, Poster presentation, Releasing of conference proceedings, Forensic Exhibition.
