With a strong foundation in both clinical practice and academic instruction, he is actively engaged in teaching, research, and professional development in vision science. He is presently pursuing his Ph.D.  further strengthening his expertise in advanced optometric research and interdisciplinary applications.

He completed his Integrated Master’s degree in Optometry from the University of Hyderabad, where he was honored with the prestigious University Gold Medal for his outstanding academic performance. His postgraduate research focused on evaluating the attenuation of blue light emitted from digital devices and assessing the effectiveness of blue-light filtering lenses and software. This work reflects his early interest in addressing emerging visual health concerns related to increasing digital exposure.

Mr. Dinesh Kumar underwent comprehensive clinical training at the renowned L V Prasad Eye Institute (Hyderabad), where he gained extensive hands-on experience in refraction, slit-lamp examination, contact lens fitting, binocular vision assessment, and the diagnosis and management of various ocular diseases. This clinical exposure has significantly contributed to his practical approach to teaching and research.

With over five years of teaching experience, he has played a key role in shaping optometry education. He has taught a wide range of subjects, including contact lenses, ocular diseases, geometrical optics, occupational optometry, and research methodology. He is actively involved in academic administration, serving as an examination coordinator, placement coordinator, and a member of the Board of Studies and Program Assessment Committee, contributing to curriculum design and quality enhancement processes.

Mr. Dinesh Kumar has an impressive research profile, with multiple publications in national and international journals. His research work spans diverse areas such as contact lens technology, ocular drug delivery systems, MRI and CT applications in optometry, ocular imaging, public health optometry, and interdisciplinary healthcare research.
