Prof. K.V. Ravi Kumar

KV Ravi Kumar is an esteemed Forensic Expert with 37 years of experience in the industry. Shri KV Ravi Kumar has played a key role in planning and coordination of UG, PG and MSc programmes in the area of Cyber Forensics, IT, Forensic Science and Forensic Psychology. He has been involved in exploring academic exchange and research with the Universities of Southampton, Southampton Solent, Portsmouth, and Jill Dando Institute of University of London, UK and is also responsible for signing of MoUs with leading organizations in India and abroad. Some of them include the North Eastern Police Academy (NEPA) in Shillong, FSL in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research in Mysuru, Karnataka, MICA–The School of Ideas in Shela, Ahmedabad as well as University of Portsmouth in United Kingdom. He was also deputed by Govt. of India to prepare the project proposals of Countries like Maldives, Vietnam, and Seychelles to setup and modernize their forensic science setups and has also prepared proposals for expansion of Forensic Facilities of the CFSLs of Directorate of Forensic Science. He has also promoted police-academia partnership working in several areas to help the law enforcement and criminal justice’s apparatus in Gujarat. Shri Ravi Kumar has provided his consultancy to various universities for drafting their Forensic Science Syllabus and also to various state FSLs in Modernizing Forensic technologies. He even received a commendation letter for DGP, of Himachal Pradesh for drafting the Forensic Science Development Plan.
